How much do the courses cost?
The full course is £249 (£298.80 including VAT). The refresher is £185 (£222 including VAT).
Where and when are the courses held?
Both courses include two London training days. Advertised training days are typically 08:00–17:00 including breaks. Check the course dates page for current sessions and availability.
How is the full course delivered?
Two practical, face-to-face London days. Approved blended learning, with additional tutor-led learning. Breaks are included in the advertised attendance window and do not count as learning time.
How long does the certificate last?
On successful completion, the nationally recognised First Aid at Work certificate is awarded by First Aid Awards, Ofqual regulated, and valid for three years.
Who can book the refresher?
Our refresher booking policy requires a First Aid at Work certificate that is still in date or within 28 days of its original expiry date on the course start date. If expired more than 28 days, book the full course. Contact us if unsure and have your certificate available for verification.
Can I continue as a workplace first aider after expiry?
An expired certificate does not provide current workplace first-aider cover. Arrange renewal before expiry and ensure your employer has suitable cover.
Is First Aid at Work more comprehensive than Emergency First Aid at Work?
Yes. FAW includes emergency first aid and extends to a wider range of injuries and illnesses. We recommend the comprehensive First Aid at Work Level 3 route for broader skills, especially in higher-risk settings. Your employer’s needs assessment determines the training required.
