Level 1 Health & Safety Awareness

This product leads to the ProQual Level 1 Award in Health and Safety in a Construction Environment. ProQual is the awarding body. Certificate and assessment arrangements are confirmed before enrolment. It is distinct from IOSH self-paced awareness e-learning.

No existing CSCS card is required to start this introductory course. Check the provider’s enrolment, identification and assessment requirements before booking.

Yes. Try our four independent interactive practice papers and review the answers and explanations. These support learning and do not award a qualification.

An end-of-course assessment is required. We confirm the precise format and pass requirements for the selected regulated award before enrolment. Results and certificates are normally arranged within 10 working days after successful assessment, subject to awarding-body processing.

A course assessment retake is offered without an additional course retake charge under the provider’s arrangements. Confirm the permitted attempts and conditions before enrolment. This does not include a free retake of the separate CITB HS&E test.

Qualified health and safety professionals support the training and assessment. The course includes learning materials covering construction hazards, responsibilities and practical safety controls.

The regulated Level 1 Award has lifetime validity for the CSCS Labourer card route. Some alternative awareness certificates have different validity periods. Your CSCS card itself expires and must be renewed under the current CSCS rules.

No. The course is £99 (£118.80 including VAT). The separately booked CITB test and CSCS card application have their own fees.

The first Labourer card is valid for two years. People who remain in labouring roles may renew for five years with the required evidence and current scheme requirements.
