Who is SSSTS Refresher for?
Supervisors who previously completed SSSTS or an SSSTS Refresher and need to refresh their knowledge before their certificate expires.
Entry requirements
Delegates must have previously passed SSSTS or a subsequent refresher and hold an in-date certificate. Suitable English language skills are also required.
Course schedule
SSSTS Refresher is scheduled three times per month on Wednesdays and Saturdays, following the current supplied pattern. The rolling calendar continues automatically into future years and remains subject to provider confirmation.
Course duration and online delivery
The current listing is delivered remotely online. Under the current CITB Site Safety Plus scheme rules, SSSTS Refresher requires 1 day / 7.5 hours of attendance. Remote courses are subject to the scheme’s participation and quality-assurance requirements.
Remote course equipment requirements
Learners are required to have access to:
- a suitable computer, laptop or other approved device;
- a reliable internet connection;
- a working camera and microphone;
- suitable identification;
- any required software or video conferencing platform; and
- a quiet and appropriate environment in which to participate.
Phones, mobile devices and tablets are not permitted for use on these courses.
Assessment
Full attendance, mandatory exercises, a trainer review and the end-of-course assessment are required. The current CITB scheme rules set the exam pass mark at 80% (24/30).
Certificate
Successful completion renews the SSSTS certification for five years.
