Weekend SSSTS courses: what to expect

If weekday training is difficult, a Saturday–Sunday SSSTS can be a practical way to complete the two-day course remotely.

Published: 27 September 2026

SSSTS is the CITB Site Supervision Safety Training Scheme. CITB describes it as a two-day course for people who have, or are about to have, supervisory responsibilities. SiteCourses currently advertises both Thursday–Friday and Saturday–Sunday remote SSSTS options.

How does a weekend SSSTS work?

The weekend option covers the same SSSTS route; the difference is simply when the two training days take place. You should expect to attend live for the full required training time, participate in the course and complete the required assessment activities.

Our current advertised price is £199 £238.80 incl. VAT. Dates shown on SiteCourses remain subject to provider confirmation before booking.

What equipment do you need?

For remote delivery, learners need a suitable computer or laptop, reliable internet, a working camera and microphone, suitable identification, any required software or video-conferencing platform, and a quiet environment for participating.

Phones, mobile devices and tablets are not permitted for use on these courses.

How do you find the next weekend date?

Our SSSTS page and course-dates page use a rolling schedule, so started dates drop away and future Saturday–Sunday options continue to appear. Use the date shown as advertised availability and contact us if you want the place confirmed before booking.

Who is SSSTS aimed at?

SSSTS is aimed at supervisors and people moving into supervisory responsibility. If your role is primarily site management rather than supervision, SMSTS may be more appropriate. The responsibilities of the role matter more than choosing a course based only on job title.
