A mock test is most useful as a learning tool. A practice score tells you what you can answer today; it does not replace the trainer's assessment or the official course examination.
Start with one paper under realistic conditions
Choose the paper for the course you plan to take: SMSTS, SSSTS or the relevant refresher. Work through every question without looking at the answers first. If you do not know an answer, make your best choice and flag the topic for review.
Review the explanation, not just the score
After submitting, read the correct answer for every question you missed. Write down the subject behind the error, such as site communication, risk control or the sequence of a safe work activity. Distinguish between a topic you did not know and a question you misread.
Use a second paper to check progress
Revisit your notes, then try a different paper rather than immediately repeating the same questions. A higher score on fresh questions gives a better indication that you have understood the topic. If a topic keeps causing mistakes, ask the trainer or review the relevant current course material.
Know what a practice pass means
SiteCourses mock papers are original revision exercises. Their practice results are guidance, not a CITB certificate, an official examination result or a guarantee that you will pass the course. Course attendance and any required trainer review or assessment still apply.

Choose the right revision route
For course-specific help, use our SMSTS revision guide or SSSTS revision guide. If you want to focus on question technique, see the SMSTS practice-paper guide or SSSTS practice-paper guide.
Do not confuse a mock test with the official assessment
SiteCourses mock tests and practice papers are original independent resources. They help you revise, but they are not official CITB exam papers and they do not reproduce live exam questions. Use current course materials and trainer guidance as your primary source.
